A lady has taken to social media to call out men who boast about their wealth but never actually back it up, warning that empty promises of money won’t influence her decisions.

“The funniest category of men are those ones that try to deceive you with money without actually giving it to you. Those ones that when you talk to them.”

“Stop gisting me money!”  — lady calls  out men

She emphasised her independence, saying that she is a businesswoman who understands the real value of money. Any funds that do not affect her life directly, she said, are irrelevant.

“They’re like: ‘Oh, I spent 50 million naira this month alone. I got a car, I didn’t like it so I gave it to my mom and I got a new one. I went to the club and I spent 2 million naira to spray. Uncle, I am genuinely happy for you. You’re seeing money to spend and you’re living the life. But all those things are just gist, they are not going to influence my decision in any way.”

Her statement quickly sparked reactions online, with many agreeing that actions speak louder than words, while a few criticised her for being overly strict with expectations in relationships.
