Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, has made a significant revelation in the ongoing Lagos State High Court trial of his elder brother, Jude Okoye, who faces charges of allegedly misappropriating $1 million.

Summary
  • Co-signatory confession
  • P-Square catalogue ownership

The music star admitted that he and his twin brother, Paul, are co-signatories on the Northside Entertainment Limited bank account, contradicting his earlier testimony that Jude alone controlled the company’s finances.

Co-signatory confession

During proceedings before Justice Rahman Oshodi, Peter clarified that while Jude was initially the sole signatory, both he and Paul were added to the account in later years.

“Despite being co-signatories, I never personally signed cheques or managed transactions,” Peter told the court.

The admission came after cross-examination by defence counsel, Clement Onwuewunor (SAN), when he was confronted with official bank documents.

P-Square catalogue ownership

Peter also addressed the dispute over the P-Square music catalogue, asserting that the nearly 100-song collection belongs exclusively to him and Paul.

He emphasised that Jude was not an original member of the group but became their manager around 2004 or 2005, without a formal written agreement.

Justice Oshodi has adjourned the case until May 15, 2026, for continuation. Fans of the iconic duo have closely followed developments, with reactions divided over the ongoing family and financial dispute.
