A pastor has sparked debate online after declaring that Valentine’s Day celebrations should be cancelled, warning that any Christian who participates risks going to hellfire.

In a video that has gone viral, the pastor passionately addresses the camera while holding sheets of paper he says are from the Bible.

He insists that the holiday, often associated with love, is contrary to Christian teachings.

Pastor says Valentine should be cancelled to avoid hellfire

Any Christian that do it… is going to hellfire. Hellfire!” he says emphatically.

The pastor also referenced John 3:16, contrasting the biblical love of God with what he described as the sinful practices surrounding Valentine’s Day.

Whether you believe it or not, I stand on it!” he added, underscoring his firm stance against the holiday.
